The Edmonton Cubs are at it again.

On Tuesday evening the Cubs traveled down the QE2 to Red Deer for a game against the Red Deer Riggers, where they took the game 7-6 in overtime with some late-game heroics.

Wednesday, July 14 was the return match in Edmonton at REMAX Field. Brendan Wiun had his best outing of the season going 5 full innings

d only allowing 1 run. The cubs chipped away inning after inning and by the 6th inning were up 6-1.

Ryley Ross came in to pitch the 6th and got the first out quickly then allowed two runners to get on base, but eventually retiring the side with no runs scored.

In the 7th the Cubs brought in Nathan Wedgewood to seal the win. Nathan looked sharp making only 12 pitches to retire the side, for the Edmonton Cubs 8th win in a row, after dropping the first two of the season.

There is still a lot of baseball left this season, so come on out and cheer on the Edmonton Cubs.
